A donor’s contribution helps families access toys this holiday season.

This holiday season, a secret donor spread good cheer and generosity to local families at Goodwill of Colorado’s Fort Collins store. A resident who wishes to remain anonymous made a donation that allowed any child visiting the Goodwill Fort Collins store to choose one free toy priced up to $10.

While the promotion has now ended, Goodwill of Colorado estimates that thanks to the donation, more than 500 local children received a free toy. This quiet benefactor has provided a similar donation during recent holiday seasons, delighting in the joy brought to the faces of families who might be struggling during the holiday season to purchase gifts for their young ones.

Goodwill Fort Collins Store manager Jose Pavon said, “We are so grateful for the generosity of the anonymous donor who provided these gifts to local children. It’s an incredible way to celebrate the giving spirit of the holidays.”

In local communities across Colorado, Goodwill provides free job training and education programs like its Excel Center in Aurora, the state’s first tuition-free, in-person adult high school for learners age 22 and older.
