Fort Collins Report has expanded its “Surveillance in Fort Collins” interactive Google Map, with updates as to operatorship of thirteen Flock Safety cameras by Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, the addition of cameras located around Wellington that have been operational for some time, the addition of two corporate owned cameras and two cameras operated by Colorado State University. The update also confirms that one Flock Safety camera in Laporte has been cut down.
After an LCSO denial for requests for records, FCR was able to obtain records detailing Larimer County’s operation of thirteen Flock ALPR cameras. The agency operates additional cameras that have not yet been fully documented by Fort Collins Report.
More records will be requested as FCR works to document LCSO’s broader camera network and identify other surveillance systems operated by public agencies throughout Larimer County.
The records confirm the operator of thirteen of the forty-eight currently installed Flock Safety cameras placed on the surveillance map.
Those cameras are located along major roads and near county facilities, including:

The 13 cameras represent only the installations that FCR was able to associate with LCSO through the records reviewed for this update. They should not be interpreted as a complete inventory of cameras owned, operated or accessed by the Sheriff’s Office.
September map update adds more cameras
In addition to confirming the operator of the 13 LCSO cameras, FCR’s September 2026 update adds several installations in and around Fort Collins.
The update includes:
- Two ALPRs near CSU’s Equine and Research Center
- Two ALPR or traffic cameras near the Hilton on Prospect Road
- Two Flock ALPRs in the Timnath area that were not logged on the map
- Seven Flock ALPRs within Wellington town boundaries that were not logged on the map
The operators of the seven cameras documented in Wellington have not yet been confirmed. FCR will update the map when records or agency responses establish which entity owns or operates them.
The map also documents one Flock camera in La Porte that has been cut down.
Replacement costs for damaged Flock equipment
The Master Services Agreement between Flock Safety and Larimer County outlines that hardware needing to be replaced due to vandalism or theft will be replaced at a cost outlined on Flock’s website: (https://www.flocksafety.com/reinstall-fee-schedule).
Listed replacement charges include:
- Camera replacement following vandalism, theft or damage: $800
- Flock pole replacement following vandalism, theft or damage: $500
- Solar panel replacement following vandalism, theft or damage: $350
- If necessary, “Advanced pole replacement” following vandalism, theft or damage: $5,000
These figures are hardware or reinstallation fees listed by Flock Safety and do not necessarily represent the complete cost associated with a particular incident.
What the map covers
Fort Collins Report’s interactive map documents known surveillance infrastructure throughout Fort Collins and portions of Larimer County.
It highlights city-owned systems and certain publicly facing cameras operated by businesses or other entities. Documented infrastructure includes traffic cameras, automated license plate readers, police surveillance points, and monitoring systems associated with public buildings.
Points of interest include Old Town and commonly traveled roads throughout the city and surrounding area.
This map is not a comprehensive inventory of cameras in Fort Collins or Larimer County. It is provided for informational and illustrative purposes. Not every camera operated by LCSO, the City of Fort Collins or another public or private entity is included. The map does not cover Loveland in detail. For more information about Loveland ALPRs, FCR highly recommends reviewing data provided on deflock.me.
Locations may be approximate; cameras may be moved or removed, and ownership or operational responsibility may not be confirmed in every instance. The map generally excludes indoor cameras, personal-use cameras, and mobile city-owned ALPR systems.
