Fort Collins residents are being asked to help imagine a shared home for the city’s secondhand shops, repair services, lending programs and recycling resources.

The early-stage project, called “(re)mall,” could allow residents to buy used goods, borrow equipment, get household items repaired and donate reusable materials during a single trip. Organizers say combining those services could also help participating shops and nonprofits share rent, marketing and customers.

Nothing has been finalized. A community survey asks residents to prioritize possible services, ranging from a secondhand marketplace and tool library to repair events, makerspaces and hard-to-recycle material collection.

Organizers will hold a second public meeting from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Toy, Game & Puzzle Library, 215 E. Foothills Parkway.
