Help Launch Independent Local Journalism in Fort Collins
We’re launching our first donor campaign with the goal of raising $50,000 to build a sustainable foundation for the Fort Collins Report.
This initial funding will allow us to move from a one-person operation into a functioning newsroom serving the Fort Collins community with consistent, high-quality journalism.
What your support will fund:
- Initial salaries and contributor payments to ensure we can consistently publish original reporting
- Materials and supplies needed for day-to-day news gathering and production
- Local content and travel costs to cover stories across the community
- Technology and infrastructure, including website expenses and Microsoft 365 accounts
- IRS 501(c)(3) application fees to secure our nonprofit status and long-term sustainability
We’re proud to be pursuing this work in partnership with TO BE ANNOUNCED, strengthening the local information ecosystem and expanding access to fact-based, community-driven reporting. Ten percent (10%) of funds will be retained by TBA to offer skill building opportunities, equipment, and production resources that support a variety of video and audio productions to meet our community’s needs for news, information, and entertainment.
Your contribution at this early stage does more than fund operations. It helps establish an independent newsroom dedicated to accountability, transparency, and telling the stories that matter most in Fort Collins.
